The 10th Kerala Veterinary Science Congress will be held at 1 Kairali Heritage, Kattampall, Kannur District, kerala on 10th and 11th of November 2018. Kannur is a coastal city in the south Indian state of Kerala. The district is bound by the western ghat in the east, Kozhikode and Wayanad Districts in the south, Arabian sea in the west and Kasaragod District in the north. It is a land with resonant past with myths and legends abound. Kannur is often known as The crown of Kerala and popularly known as The city of Loonts and Lores. The region is famous for its loom industries and dazzling ritual performance called Theyyam. The land is a lively melange of beautiful beaches, historic sites, interesting folk arts andfilk music, rituals, religious practices and festivities. The district also is home to some of the traditional industrial sectors of Kerala. The region also has its place in the freedom struggle against the British.

The tourism potential for Kannur district is high. The St. Angelos Fort in the Kannur Cantonment, which was constructed in 1505, is a symbol of Portuguese architecture. The Thalassery Fort is an important tourist centre. Payyambakm beach, Muzhappilangad drive in beach (The longest in Asia), Paithalmak Parassinikkadavu and Ezhimak are known for scenic beauty. Places of historic importance, like the house of Gundert, who composed the first Makyalm- English Dictionary Arakkal Palace which is the only royal Muslim family in Kerala attract many tourists.
