Dear Veterinarians,

We are proud to inform you that Indian Veterinary Association - Kerala is hosting the 13th Veterinary Science Congress 2021 in a hybrid (partly online) mode. Indian Veterinary Association, Kerala is always instrumental in working towards continual improvement of our profession through setting up appropriate platforms for scientists, academicians, researchers, students, field practitioners, wildlife experts and veterinarians associated with allied sectors for providing insights into recent trends and strategies to face the challenges in the current period. It is the largest professional organisation of veterinarians working or residing in the state of Kerala with around 2200 member veterinarians at present and units in all the 14 districts of Kerala and two veterinary colleges under Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

Indian Veterinary Association, Kerala is also devoted to promote scientific veterinary practice with high standards of professionalism and ethics for the preservation of animal and public health. With this objective in mind, let me inform you with pleasure and this year, we are organising our prestigious annual event, Kerala Veterinary Science Congress during 13th and 14th November, 2021 on the theme “One health - A strategic imperative for veterinary profession in fight against the pandemic”. From 2009 onwards, the event is being conducted annually. Despite the restrictions imposed by COVID 19 pandemic, last year we conducted this unique scientific meet in a hybrid mode and it was a huge success. This year, we are conducting Kerala Veterinary Science Congress 2021 in hybrid mode with the main venue at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Mannuthy.

Whole hearted support and co-operation from all are expected. The programme will span for two days. There will be scientific papers presented by national and international speakers and eminent scientists and also an exclusive session for practicing veterinarians.

The unique features of the event

• Hosted both in a virtual platform using a customised software and regular offline mode.
• Chairs and Co-chairs will adjudge the best paper in each session and cash awards will be given.
• All registered delegates will be given a copy of the compendium and hard copies of the delegate certificates which can be accessed via google link too.
• The electronic copy of the compendium will be available on the website of Indian Veterinary Association - Kerala.

The whole programme will be streamed live in IVA Facebook page for interested veterinarians to follow.
